My Blogging Journey: Productivity

So, how is that content calendar coming along?

I did managed to increase my productivity using the content calendar. Of course, promoting my content is something that I have yet to do. Some of my blogs I already promote automatically (blogs go directly to my social media), but others I have not managed to get to that point.

Why so many blogs?

I mentioned last week that I currently have 10 blogs. That’s a lot, and I know that 4 of them have zero posts. Mostly because they are retail websites. When you have a retail site, you want more than just the products to generate traffic. Some people may never find my online store unless they came in through a link to a post titled, “Top 10 gifts for teachers.” My goal for those sites will be to create a content calendar that allows me to post more regularly.

I know that keeping up with so many blogs can be challenging. You have to plan and perfect. Seriously, though, you can also build and sell. That’s one of my goals. I want to build up several of these and eventually sell them. That is possible. My retail sites? Nope. Those are all mine and my babies.

How did my productivity hold up this week?

I missed a few posts. Okay, I missed quite a few. Ten, if we’re counting. My week got busy. There were sick kiddos to deal with, and then Friday, I got their ickiness. It is not fun being sick. Not at all. I also learned that despite the fact that I really wanted to keep up with my schedule, I was thankful that there were some posts I was able to write ahead of time, so I could give myself permission to rest if needed. Sometimes we can make huge plans, but we have to know that Murphy’s Law will come into play sometimes. The great thing about the content calendar is that I know I can write in advance, or move things around as needed, even into next month.
