Hi, Dear Reader,
My name is Martha Thurston. I am a writer, teacher, mother, and grandmother. I am from the foothills of the Appalachia mountains in South Carolina. I grew up in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains with parents who pushed me to seek out my intellectual growth via books. Many books. I’ve been an avid reader since I was two. My dad actually taught me to read using the newspaper, which goes to prove that you really do not need many fancy books to teach children. You only need to sit down and read with them.
I have owned many online businesses since 2002, most of those handmade businesses as I sold my handmade dolls and teddy bears. While sewing and textiles is my favorite business, writing is my passion. I have taken to expanding my knowledge of online marketing, business models, and homebased businesses, and I feel that it is only right to share that wisdom with you, my readers.
