When it comes to organizing your handmade business, you may have an idea of how you want to set up your workspace or studio, but what about organizing all of the paperwork that you’ll need when it comes to tax time?

One of the best sources that I have found on the internet when it comes to organizing a handmade business when you sell on Etsy or Shopify has been Paper+Spark. They offer spreadsheets and documents for every need from sales to inventory and will even teach you how to use them. Their courses and coaching system are fantastic for those who are new to business bookkeeping.

It’s Not Just About Etsy

If your business is built around selling your handmade items on Etsy, then fantastic, but Paper+Spark offer more than just spreadsheets for Etsy. Is your Home Business based on being a reseller? Then they have a spreadsheet for you, whether you sell on Ebay or Amazon! I know from personal experience that trying to keep track of inventory and sales as a reseller can be a headache. Of course, back in the day, I used a good old fashioned paper ledger. These days, I prefer the digital method that I can access almost anywhere just by uploading it to a thumbdrive or up in the cloud. Wherever you store your digital spreadsheets is up to you, but know that ease of use and automatic tallying of results is something that I appreciate.
