My Handmade Journey: Back on Track

I had been in a creative funk. I won’t lie. Trying to come up with new ideas and designs has been a difficult task. Especially when sales are slow. It’s hard to push through when you don’t feel appreciated. But I also know that the busy season is coming, and I want to be prepared for that.

My teaching job is currently on Fall Break, so I decided to spend last week catching up on all of my writing and finishing personal projects (that didn’t happen). The goal for this week is to push out new products. It’s a hefty goal, but I know that I can do it.

Unfortunately, I think my list of products is so much more than I can accomplish in a week’s time. I need to juggle a few tasks and find things that I can do at the same time (running my embroidery machine while sewing). Those are going to be great ways to multi-task, but some things will take prior prepping and planning. I still have a quilt or two that I have planned to work on, so I need to prep for that as well. I haven’t started cutting my strips to sew. That will be a huge work in progress.
